Entrepreneurs and the ecosystems that support them are increasingly vital to the diversification and prosperity of local and state economies. This article presents why entrepreneurship matters in economic development and how economic developers can support the entrepreneurs, startups, and entrepreneurial ecosystem of a community or region.
